Stirling Castle was pretty, but not as impressive as Edinburgh. The most notable thing about the town was trying to escape it--we wanted to head out to Castle Campbell, and the road clearly marked on the map wasn't clearly marked in the town. (Barn road, if you know Stirling.) We circled a few times, and finally found another road that let us head in the right direction. Oddly enough, we saw the *other* end of Barn road, so we didn't completely make it up…

As with most castles, this one's big and stoney. <g>

The outline of the formal gardens are still visible from the hill top.

The local kirkyard. Several of the gravestones had fallen over, but the lovely pattern remains.
