These are scenes from Pitlochery, Glenfinnan, Rannoch Moor, and the Monadhliath Mountains.

This is Pitlochery. Note the blue sky: it was the first we'd seen it. It was a lovely drive.

Pitlochery also has a very attentive police force. As we were driving, I noticed a police car behind me. I parked, and they pulled in after me. I started to panic, as the nice, young officer approached--with my hubcap. I guess hitting all those curbs in Edinburgh loosened the poor thing. It's interesting to note that Eurocar didn't even blink when we told them the hubcap was in the trunk--I think they've dealt with Americans before.

When we first arrived at the Glenfinnan Monument, it was snowing. Hard. Our first picture has a completely grey background, like someone spread out a flannel blanket. 5 minutes later, it's sunny, gorgeous, and 10 degrees warmer.

No wonder the weather is such a popular topic of conversation...

Is this a place to build your house or what? (Just don't run out of milk...)
