Pictures from the Remodeling Job -- Day 1

On the first day, Home Depot sent one man, David, who started at 10 am and finished by 5. After the first day, the entire countertop had been removed and disposed of, all the cabinet doors and drawers were gone, and he'd started to get things ready for refacing.

The sink area underwent the most change. There used to be a cutting board
above the first drawer -- that became a deeper drawer. The two areas
just below the sink were just for show, and now we have a single pull-out tray.

This was the magic vacuum that David used every
day to leave the kitchen cleaner than we normally do. :-)

This is where we put the dishes and food we wanted readily available.
The refrigerator stayed plugged in the whole time, and we could use the
small sink in the wet bar, so we managed to have dinner at home all 4 days.

There were boxes and boxes of kitchen stuff everywhere.
Our thanks to Kay and Elvyra, who helped us pack it up.
