One morning we crawled out of bed at 4 am and got into a jeep to be whisked off into the darkness for a sunrise balloon ride over Maasai Mara. The company we used fielded four balloons that day--ours was one of the green and yellow ones.

Unlike some balloon shows, these balloons are colored this way so that they blend into the landscape instead of standing out.
