Cairo traffic. There are only two traffic laws that they enforce here: no indiscriminant honking and the passengers in the front seat must wear a seat belt. Other than that, it's all up to the drivers. They can make their own lanes, drive through red lights, and even drive on the other side of a divided highway if they want to. Pedestrians get to play too, because they don't stop at red lights, you can't count on getting any help crossing a street, so sometimes you just have to close your eyes and pray. Or you can do what the gentleman in this picture is doing, and that's to hop on a city bus as it slows to make the turn. |
