On Thursday night, WorldCon put Terry on trial "for such charges as 'failing to stop at a trilogy', 'writing with undue care and attention', 'cruelty to animals', and 'being a rich bastard!'." Celebrity witnesses included Death, and Nanny Ogg, with cameos by Susan, and a troll.

Besides the officially invited guests, the audience also included the Agony Aunts:

When Terry was brought on the scene, he spotted a guy in the crowd dressed as Rincewind the Wizzard, and he quickly appropriated Rincewind's hat to hid behind. Unfortunately, it was a tad noticeable...

And Death had no problem finding his victim for the evening:
