While we were in Vermont, we didn't take a lot of pictures. We did,
however, document 2 water-related adventures.
First, we did the traditional hike up Branch Brook to Buttermilk Falls.
Both Jen's grandmother and her mother used to rock-walk up Branch Brook,
and they rarely saw any other people. Today, however, Buttermilk Falls
has been "discovered", and is even included in some of the
Vermont tourist information.
It even has it's own sign!
|
It says: "Welcome to Buttermilk Falls. This
area protects Buttermilk Falls for its clean water and beautiful
surroundings. Branch Brook has been running over this rock for thousands
of years, and Vermonters have cherished this spot for centuries.
Please join our efforts to protect it." |
Here's a picture of a little waterfall to whet your appetite.
