After leaving Cascade and Wildcat Falls, we headed down Highway 120 toward Foresta, a very small town that's actually within the park's boundaries.

One of the scenic outlooks along the route gave us this amazing view of the Merced River valley running all the way back to Bridalveil Falls.

Once we got to Foresta, we found out that the Falls was fairly small and almost impossible to get to. It did have one of the cutest fire stations we'd ever seen, as well as one of the thinnest fire hydrants.

I don't know if the hydrant contributed to the fact that in 1990 most of Foresta burned down in a forest fire that destroyed 24,000 acres, but I don't see how it could have helped much...
