We saw these Cape buffalo everywhere, but this was day 2, and they were still exciting. <grin>

If they appear a bit grouchy, you're right. They're actually very unpredictable, and will attack humans. Our guide told us that some buffalo will pretend to wander off and then turn around and charge. Fortunately for us, we were protected by the Mighty Toyota, so they left us alone.

That's why Cape buffalo are one of the Big 5, along with lions, elephants, leopards, and rhinos.
