The Valley of the Kings has some magnificent tombs, but it also has heat. Lots and lots and lots of it. Here, Terry, Dave, Jen, Wael, and Vic wait for the rest of the crew to catch up huddled in whatever little spot of shade they could find. The sad part is that this was really early in the morning, and the shade was shrinking fast. I can only imagine what it was like to work there, day after day, digging and decorating tombs through the sweltering summer months. Thanks, but I'll keep my office job...
