The famous Trevi fountain, finished in 1762 by Nicola Salvi, who was hired to build a fountain to celebrate the reopening of the ancient aqueduct that powers it. Water gushes from 24 spouts and tumbles over 30 different kinds of plants while Triton blows his conch shell.

We both made sure to toss a coin over our shoulders into the fountain to insure our return to Rome. It won't take much encouragement for either of us to go back, that's definitely true.

A bit of trivia from Rick: the water from this fountain goes underground from here and surfaces again in the Four Rivers fountain in Piazza Navona.
